My Work & Experiences
PRSSA Dallas Cowboys Tour
I organized a visit to The Star in Frisco for our PRSSA chapter. We received a tour from the director of media relations and corporate communications, and we learned about his work for the Cowboys.
PRSSA Record Attendance
We put up flyers, reached out to professors, spoke to classes, and posted on social media to promote PRSSA and increase meeting attendance. We also chose guest speakers based on feedback from members. We were excited to have 50+ students attend our meeting with our guest speaker Macy Thompson!
PRSSA Tabling Info Sheet
My co-president and I had a table at the Strategic Communication Information Fair. We got to meet lots of people who were interested in joining our organization. I created an information sheet to hand out to those interested, and they could scan a QR code if they decided to join.
Roxo Agency Recruitment
Much of my work for Roxo consisted of internal branding and communications. My team was responsible for organizing "Recruitment Week" and promoting the new member application. We had tabling events, posted on social media, and wore our new Roxo t-shirts we created around campus. We received a total of 68 applications, with only 18 spots available.
National Student Advertising Competition
Attending AAF's National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) in Dallas was such a fun experience. My team spent many hours working to create a campaign for Tide, and we won an award for having the best team dynamic.
Case Studies Paper: Social Media and the Boston Marathon Bombings
In my Case Studies class, I researched and wrote about social media's role in communicating with the public after the Boston Marathon bombings. This was so interesting to learn about, and the case was a great example of effective communication with the public.
